A wrong start...
OK so hi people.
I'm going to describe what made me enter this forum:
For some reasons, I always had this idea that i would become a programmer.
In 2007, i discovered how to program on my calculator. I had a friend who was very good at it, and he "mentored" me. So i became pretty good too at programming on my calculador.
Then i wanted to learn a "real" programming language... but i thought it would be easier to learn at school.
I started java last semester in university. But i started the assignements very late and didn't program for myself like i did with my calculador. I was stressed when i programmed and didn't like it very much. During the holidays, i had nothing to do, and i didn't program.
Instead, i started getting involved in flash stick animation.
I started animating, and my animations suck, but i continue anyways.
And you have also moments of desesperation where you can't animate something correctly etc, and still i continue.
So then i asked myself: why do i prefer going on flash rather than java? it's as stressful, as hard, etc.
Then i have been thinking "what is different between my realtion with flash and my relation with java?"
I found out that how i started was different!
So that's why i joined this forum.
I am starting from scratch with my "emotional" relation with java by entering this community and try to have fun.
Feel free to contact me by any means :)

Is someone here?
You can just say something like 'welcome' or something...
Ok, here I'm welcome you to our community. :)
The way you think is not make sense in programming lol. Java and Flash, I don't know why you think in that two ways. You have to learn a lot in Java, a lot. But it's not difficult at all.
If you want to learn from the basis about Java best place to start work is Suns' tutorial. All what you need is there.
I really appreciate it!
Basically what i wanted to say is that i learned java through the stress of school and due dates etc.
I realize now that i would have prefered learning it with fun and entertainement.
So that's how i want to learn from now on.
