    Default Hello

    Just want to say hello as I have just joined the site.
    I currently studying java as part of a course I am following, i choose Java over other languages as it isn't tied to one type of platform which I didn't like about .net.

    I have worked a web developer on and for a couple of years and wanted to learn a higher level language and java seemed a perfect langauge in those terms.

    Good point. That is the best point of Java in my opinion too. Other ones are readability and simplicity.
