First post ever
Hello there!
I have spent time in VB.NET and Microsoft SQL, now I need to learn Java on Linux for work.
My goal for 2008 was to become an expert in the Java language and to start developing utility programs in Ubuntu. Now it is almost August and I have not even started!
To get me motivated, I told my boss I would finish this "Teach Yourself Java 2 in 21 Days" book in one month.
I am using NetBeans and I might be on here with some basic questions as I get started.
Oh....and I am located in the area of Phoenix, AZ.
I just thought I would say "hi" to everyone! :)

Best of luck to you in your goals!
I am in a similar development environment myself as I fancy Linux and Netbeans. I think you'll find a lot of support here.
See you around!

Hello everybody. I recently found this NetBeans list and am interested to contribute what I can. I have over a year experience in NetBeans, my focus is building database-enabled web applications using Visual JSF.

Hi HandyGeek, it's really nice to see that a NetBeans user try to spread his experience here in out community. There is a separate sub forum for NetBeans. You can keep in touch with that pal. Every day members hang on that forum, with different issues related to NetBeans.
