    Smile Things you do if your not in Front of the Computer.

    This is really off the Topic. Let us share the things we do if we are not talking about Java or Work. . . ^_^

    I'll Start.
    (Regular Working Days)
    1. Coffee or Ice Cream Break. . . (depends which one i crave more)
    2. Sleeping (During Lunch Break =) )
    3. Sending SMS! I'am always connected with friends =)
    4. Lunch out with fellow Java programmers (They are from other buildings)
    5. Staring at the wall. . . Thinking of what to do next.

    (Weekends)
    1. Malling and Dancing in the Arcade
    2. At home Sleeping or Playing Computer Games
    3. Out of Town for 2 days (sat to sun mostly we go to a resort)
    4. Dating (If i have the money =P )
    5. Visiting my alma mater and stroll around =P

    number 3 & 4 can be combined. How about you guys. Give us a glimpse of the Life of a Professional Java Developer. :)
    Mind only knows what lies near the heart, it alone sees the depth of the soul.

    I'll start the day with a cup of tea, go to gym then and get ready to go to office in weekdays. Sleep bit more in weekends. Having my breakfast at office. Check my mails before start work at office. Leave from the office in the evening after my office work. Do some studies and go to bed, end of the day. :D

    what? there is a time when you can be 'away from a computer'? :P

    I mean, when not on a computer (for work or recreation) I just sleep, and sometimes I even do that at the comfy chair.. infront of the computer.

    Mmm.. I would say that
    Java Code:
    Tim tim = Tim.getInstance();
    Machine pc = Machine.getInstance();
    tim.meTime = pc.pcTime;
    And overall
    Java Code:
    Tim tim = Tim.getInstance();
    People people = People.getInstance();
    tim.time = tim.meTime + people.peopleTime;
    ;) And then there's staying alive. That's quite time consuming. Eating, drinking (non-alcoholic of course), breathing air and so forth. :D Wonder if this would compile?

    read The Quantum Theory of Fields, Vol. I by Steven Weinberg;

    livingdog, think you would help me out in physics when I need it? I'm enrolled in AP Physics in high school

    yes, but much like all help forums, show me that you did the work and where you got stuck.

    You might try googling your specific problem.

    There is also a Physics Forum which also helps with math. They have the same requirements about posting as this forum.

    Note there is no LaTeX here, so typing out equations is not fun.

    F = ma

    F_x = m a_x
    is read as "F-sub-x" and "a-sub-x"

    1/2 m v^2
    is read as "one-half * m * v-squared"

    Interesting forum. I see that they are smarter than us in that they have a forum that is specifically labeled "Homework and Coursework Questions".

    They don't do the homework, but at least give their members a place to ask for help. This way homework questions don't leak into the other forums.

    But I do, as livingdog mentions, it would hopefully quarantine it and keep it out of other fora. I think that most of us have nothing against folks posting questions about their homework as long as the posters don't expect more than a gentle nudge in the right direction.

    Be forewarned though. You will get more popular, a good thing, BUT will attract a wider audience - a bad thing. There's always a trade-off. More members means more CS (et. al.) students and majors posting here. Some may stay and be a benefit to the forums. One such benefit is word of mouth "hey, there's this awesome java site!" I know I'll advertise you guys to my students, because I learned something in just a few visits.

    An aside to all this is that you guys might want to hook up with the Physics Forums. Let them know that some of you do numerical calculations and modeling and the like.

    Anyway, do what you want, I only come here for the free coffee and donuts.
