Hello, I just came back from IMACS which is a place that teaches math and computer science. The guy told me that Scheme is an absolute must; I told him I already know a little bit of Java and would really just like to expand me. He says they don't allow that, and even if they did, the people who learn Scheme will easily surpass me. I don't see why scheme is so special, and when I look at the code, I don't see what is so much better about it. Should I just forget Java and learn Scheme? I know it provides a foundation, but I already started on Java and really like it... Thanks
