    Lightbulb i need an advice!

    i'm a C# and VB programmer, do i need java and why?
    i like my programs to work for all OS but it's not important.

    No, of course you don't need to know Java, but also of course, it can be a useful tool for certain tasks, and knowledge of it can also possibly improve one's marketability. But is it essential, absolutely not.

    It will be up to you to decide on how important this is as we can't really decide this for you.
