Installing files to the c:\Users\**USERNAME**\ directory
Hi,
I have a Java based program that runs another executable that in turn clears up any directories that the uninstaller couldn't itself delete, the next time the system is rebooted. This second executable is located in the c:\Users\**USERNAME**\ directory. The issue is that MalwareBytes, and other anti virus software, flag this as a Trojan when it tries to run. MalwareBytes explained that it's against protocol to run an executable from within the root of the users directory.
Can someone explain to me why this is?
Obviously I'll change the code to move it but I was just interested in why this was the case.
Thanks
