What math is needed?

Hi, I have always wanted to be a programmer but felt that because my math skills aren't good enough then being a programmer will never happen. Do I really need to be great at maths as a whole, or are there some math topics that I should develop my skills in?

You will need math ...
Java provide the Math class to help you but the more math you know the better programmer you will be =) (according to my teachers at the Uni).

I guess it depends on what kind of programs you want to make.

I would like to one day get into game development, so when I know more Java I would like to start making games.

For advanced games , you have to know a lot of math ... 3d games etc ... for simple games you only need to know basic math...
