oh i'm sorry .. but thank you anyways :) ..
ok .. we proposed a system which is "payroll system" .. we've search java codes about "backup" and yet i don't know how it will work .. we need codes for backup , backup of our database or maybe the list of our employees' personal information ..
we are using JAVA and MYSQL ..
hope you understand this time , i don't know how to elaborate it more , i just can't explain it .. i'm sorry .. but still hoping you get my point ..
we're all just a beginner , so puhleeeasse .. ^_^ ..i'll be very thankful ..
GODBLESS :)

If you still can't elaborate the exact steps you need, then your best bet is to hire a Java programmer who knows what they're doing and can whip this up for you. It likely won't be cheap, but since it's important, it will probably be worth it.
-
Please note that getting this type of work from a competent Java programmer can cost over a few thousand dollars, but again, if this for a commercial application, the cost will be worth the peace of mind in the end.

If this is an academic exercise, then the approach here would be entirely different of course, but you haven't specified this yet, and so I'll ask: is this for a professional application or is this a school exercise?

i'm part of a class ..
we're creating a payroll system .. we're already finished with our GUI .. still , its doesn't work yet . my part is , i'll be the one to create the backup , but i don't know the codes .. and where to put it ..

OK, if for a class the approach is different. For one, you shouldn't be asking for "the code" and I have to warn you that if you do, the thread will be locked. But we can help. You have several choices, and these include saving the data as a text file or as a serialized binary file. Another option is to use a database which would take more work, but would be worthwhile if you have a lot of data to save. The choices are yours.
