I hear a lot of acronyms: html, Sharepoint, javascript, ... What is a good way to create a website? How about a website that just displays a lot of stuff? A website that takes orders, does a checkout, etc.?

I would think a good place to start would be W3 schools. Work through the basic tutorials and go from there.
