    Default Licensing Questions

Moderators...move to the proper forum, if needed.

I have a few basic questions about licensing.
I wanted to produce a commercial desktop application. From all I've read, using Java Swing components in the application GUI would require that I make the source code available for free - is that correct? (Because it the components are tightly meshed into may code.)

I also assume that using JDBC to a database doesn't NOT require me to make the source code available for free; is that correct?

No, this is not correct as this is not a condition or constraint when using Swing components. Your source code is yours.
