    Default Guide For New Members

Hello and thank you for registering at the Java Forums.

Before you continue and activate your account, please take the time to read these 2 simple forum rules which will help you to have your questions answered quickly and efficiently.

    Firstly:

When posting, please use the most descriptive title possible to describe your problem.

Titles like "Help!" and "Important!!" are STRONGLY discouraged.

Descriptive titles will give our members a better idea of your problem and identify if they can help. In turn you will find that your questions will be resolved a lot quicker.

    Secondly:

When posting any Java code you MUST add the tags around your code.

This makes your code 100% easier to read and stops any formatting errors caused by these Forums.

There are two ways to add the code tags.
You can either type them manually at the start and end of your code, or you can highlight your code and click the # 'Wrap code tags around selected text' button.

Please always follow these simple rules as it helps our Java community run more effectivly.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Rules rule unless their ruled by rulers who rule with a ruling thumb! ... what?

Bandito in Treasure of the Sierra Madre':
"Rules? We don't need no stinkin' rules! We're not the Java Forums!"

Thanks for all the tips guides and rules for us newbies. May your Java always wave and your flag always coffee. ... what?

You should identify the relevant sub-forum to your question. You can find the forum sections on the main page of the forum. Got the relevant, you can see an option to start a new thread on top.
