The "Thread Tools" menu at the top of the thread should give you an option to mark the thread "solved".

Edit the first post, click "Go Advanced" and you will find an option for 'Prefix'

I can edit all but the first post and I don't see any Thread tools if I edit other posts.

That's correct, the option to edit a post times out. You can post a response in the thread asking a moderator to mark it as solved.

Well, that must be a real quick timer because I just sent a new post and then discovered the answer. I tried to edit my original post and also include the answer and mark the post as solved. But nowhere did I see any options for selecting prefixes.
