    Default COM Port Detection in Java

    Hi All,
    How to find the Active COM ports which are there in the System. i am developing a Swings based application where i need to display a list box which shows all the active COM ports in the System dynamically.

    "COM" is a proprietary nomenclature. Java is platform independent. You may use http's notion of a port if that will fulfil you objectives.
