I would like to know if MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager should be used in an EJB. This class is encouraged by Apache for thread safety

hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/threading.html

It also create threads which, if I'm clear on the spec, is a no-no.

Anyone has any definitive statement for me?
