Eclipse forums:

Why, when I select File | New Java Project, and then uncheck "Use default location," do the options for "JRE" and "Project Layout" become grayed out?

I want to specify my own location for my project, but it would be nice for the class/source hierarchy to be generated automatically there...

Based on what I read in "Head First Java," I'd like to end up with this structure/hierarchy of folders:

1)RT_TCP_Util
2) classes
3) com
4) jcptds
2) source
3) com
4) jcptds
