    Question intalling eclipse

    i have downloaded the eclipse ide from theeclipse website but the problem is that when i try to install it, the computer gives an error that companion shared library was not found. how to resolve this problem so that i could make my java programs on eclipse

    Give us the full error, rather than your interpretation of it.

    the eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library.

    Well, the implication from this bug report at Eclipse is that you have a duff installation.
