How to disable this content assist?

Whenever the possible methods come up, my eclipse crashes and it makes it really hard for me to program. I'm new to Eclipse and I can't find the option to disable this, can someone tell me where it is?

You can disable the Auto-Activation feature here:
Window -> Preferences -> java -> Editor -> Content Assist -> disable the checkbox "Enable auto activation"
