New to eclipse
I am new to eclipse. I just downloaded Eclipse "IDE for Java EE Developers". I am planning to develop a java program for creating a task manager for windows OS. Is this eclipse package the right environment for me to start coding? or should i go for something else(like Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, )? please help.

Thank you very much indeed for your reply!
Let me ask one more doubt, is that possible to include windows OS APIs using java? is there any specified classes for that purpose?
I wouldn't choose Java for low-level Windows programming. You may be able to find libraries to do what you need, but you will always be working at least one level removed from the real action. You're better off working in C or C++ if I understand your project correctly (maybe give us more detail about the task manager you want to build?).
Yes, C and C++ would be appropriates languages, however I would recommend C# for that program if you are not familiar with C or C++ as
it is more similar to Java. Of course it is always got to learn a new language.
If you insist of using Java, you can write some low-level code in C or C++ and bind it with Java using JNI.
