Scrolling problem
I'm having a constant problem in Eclipse where I begin to scroll through my source code but the document won't scroll. The scroll bar makes small attempts up and down to scroll but just returns to its original position.
The fix I'm having to do is push my scroll wheel while hovering over the scroll bar and then scroll and then right click all at the same time. The problem is consistent.
Any ideas ?
*Edit* The problem seems to start when I drag the scrollbar up or down. After I do this, I can't scroll anymore.Last edited by lethalwire; 06-26-2010 at 04:53 PM.

Everything is working fine in every other application except eclipse.
Scrolling works while pushing the up/down and page up/down arrows but as soon as I begin to type or scroll, the document returns to where it was stuck before.
I'm unaware of the "folding" setting so I'll check into that. I might have to reinstall eclipse. I've only been using it for a few months now though and not until recently did this start happening.
Here's a short video I uploaded showing the bug:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eA2mA3kTRxA
At first I'm scrolling, then I click the arrows to scroll and everything works fine. As soon as I drag the scroll bar the problem starts. I have to re-drag the scroll bar to fix the problem.
Then I drag it again with my mouse and try to scroll and the problem starts again. This time when I drag the scroll bar it doesn't fix the problem.Last edited by lethalwire; 06-26-2010 at 07:08 PM.

At first I'm scrolling with the mouse wheel.
Then I highlight some text with the mouse.
After that I put the mouse pointer over the scroll bar but I don't do anything.
Next I click the up arrow a few times to show that the document moves up.
Then I click the down arrow a few times to show that the document moves down. Each time I move the scroll bar, I rescroll with the mouse wheel to show that everything is still working fine.
At about 0:23 I move the scroll bar by left clicking and dragging it. When the scroll bar starts jittering is when I'm trying to scroll with the wheel.
I click inside the document to make sure that window has focus. I begin to scroll again with no luck.
After that I Drag the scroll bar up while left clicking and this seems to fix the problem.
I write a comment in the document and everything is still working fine.
I redrag the bar again while left clicking and the problem arises again but this time when I try to drag the scroll bar it doesn't solve the issue.
I tried turning "off" folding and I played with my mouse settings. No luck.

Edit
I think I've narrowed the problem down to WindowsBlinds. I've never had any problems before with this application but as soon as I turned it off, the problem vanished. Everything is working flawlessly.
If the problem persists, I'll be sure to check back in here.
Thanks for all your help JosAH.
I appreciate it.Last edited by lethalwire; 06-26-2010 at 08:44 PM.
