    Default eclipse very slow

    I have 512 MB RAM and I'm working with Eclipse 3.1 for Java on this machine but it is slow and sometimes it locks for 5-10 seconds and then unlocks
    what's the problem?
    why is it so slow?

    go to task manager and increase the priority of eclipse.exe process to high

    Try editing the eclipse.ini file in the Eclipse installation directory and allocate more memory to Eclipse.
