Can you explain your question more clearly. Are you talking about how to build UI applications using Eclipse?

If so, did you look at the help page at least?

    Hi Ghost 88,

If you are looking for how to design and automaticaly generate GUI with Eclipse, I suggest you use Visual Editor for Eclipse. Notice that it works only in Eclipse 3.2 version. To work, VE requires EMF and GEF plugins. It allow you to design Swing, SWT ans AWT UIs.
all this plugins are available at this address:

    download.eclipse.org/tools/ve/downloads/drops/R-1.2-200606280938/index.html.

it's easy to install(just unzip the bundels) and also intuitive.

    good luck.

    Hello Developers,

I am kind of starting Java using eclipse 3.4.2, Can i use eclipse visual editor (EVE) with this?

Wanted to develop GUI application ... Can i understand EVE is a drag n drop tool?

    Best Regards,

    Hi GANTUMURDEVEE,

unforunately I think that VE for eclipse 4.x is not available for the moment (I think that they are working on the project). The only version available right now works only on eclipse 3.2. you can find both (eclipse and VE) following the link I gave above on my replay.

    good luck.

    Regards.

    Hi GANTUMURDEVEE,

did you already download the .zip of aclipse, VE and required plugins namely GEF and EMF (both are also available on the same site) from the eclipse web site ? if yes:

1- unzip the eclipse 3.2 bundel on the path of your choise, a folder named eclipse appears.
    2. put the other bundels (VE, GEF end EMF) on the same path where you have unziped eclipse (the one containing folder eclipse) .
3- unzip the three bundels one by one.
4- access to the eclipse folder.
5- execute the eclipse.exe file. the eclipse workbench launchs.
    6- create new project.
7- winthin this project, add visual classes by right clic on the projet name. (visual classes are: AWT,SWT and Swing).
8- choose name and class type on Type list.
8- the VE palette automatically appears.

I mean by "intuitive" drag and drop from this palette to the caneva or frame that you're designing.

Hope that this will help you.

don't hesitate to contact me again if any other issu.

    Regards.

    Karim
