    Default Controls in Eclipse

    Hi im new to java and i chose eclipse as my first IDE. My first question is where do i find Controls like textbox, Buttons etc..

    Hi,
    You are actually try to fing the controls to use in eclipse or the swing components like textbox and so on as mentioned in the post.

    If you are looking for controls in eclipse then press ctrl+shift+L that will give you all the controls.

    If you are looking for swing components then check this link

    Swing is a part of java basics that provides you the components like JTextfield,JTextArea and so on... (Check the link i provided)

    I think its better for you to first start with simple things like loop, collections and some other basics before jumping into swing..

    There are lots of java tutorials available in net, i prefer the sun's site...
    To finish sooner, take your own time....

    Yes, as Nividitha says best thing is touch with Java basis first. Then start to work with Swings and stuff.

    @Nividitha, what it call, controls section, in Eclipse. I don't use it ever. It NetBeans it's call as Pallet.

    :) Dont get tensed Eranga...
    Controls in eclipse i meant for the all the shortcuts available with eclipse as i was not aware of what the initiator actually needed,i was just getting it to be shortcut controls, its nothing like pallete or something....
