cannot open database requested in login. Login fails

Hi,
I am connecting to MS sql server2000 through java(JDBC). I got following error at the time of connection.

"Cannot open database requested in login 'NAO_DB'. Login fails."

NAO_DB is database name.

Can anybody help me?
