How do I compile this project?

Hello,

I would like to compile this Project (many .java files and a lot of other stuff too). I can not get this compiled. Can somebody help me out in compiling this and explain me how they succeeded in doing this (or is the source itself bugged?) ?

It's from the site www.garrett.ru and it's opensource. Also, why would I write several source files and then not know how to compile them.

I have no idea, but the thrust of this forum is to mainly help you create your own code. You may get some help here, but if you do or don't, my recommendation is that you contact the creators or maintainers of this code.

edit: also, you might want to tell us what your problems are as in the specific error messages and what-not, your current level of java skills, etc... These are all details that help others help you.

I would like to create some kind of mobile phone translation software. So I thought it would be a good idea to check how others have solved this problem. So I wanted to compile it. And it didn't work out.
I'd like to start out as simple as possible and all that comes in to my mind is maybe a menu, and one word translation for the beginning.

My Java skills are very little. But I seek to improve them, if that helps.

So I know what I want, I am just lost in how to begin with.... and not even being able to compile the other guy's project isn't helping either!

your example uses api of java micro edition. if you don't have installed j2me on your computer you could never compile it. you can try to install j2me from Java ME - the Most Ubiquitous Application Platform for Mobile Devices and then try to compile the source code.
