    Smile Code signing works on nokia/Samsung phone for javax.microedtion.io.StreamConnection

    We are developing a midlet for connecting to bluetooth devices.Our midlet is not signed.But the http connection from the midlet is working fine.

    When we try to connect to other bluetooth device, the application hangs and doesnot proceed.We are using the StreamConnection class.Namespace is javax.microedtion.io

    StreamConnection connection = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(btConnectionURL);

    We are using nokia E71X with operator AT&T from united states.

    After going through number of forums we found out that the code signing is the problem.

    What we want to know is

    1. After code signing the midlet from verisign or thawte ,will our application work for StreamConnection class?

    2.In the At&T signing policy specification there is no mention of StreamConnection class.Why is it ? Will the Bluettooth connection work after signing the midlet ?

    Immediate help will be appreciated

    Thanks,

    Yash

    Hi,

    You are using secure API's so have to sign your application. Also use proper try/catch block in your code.
