Lightbulb "request entity too large" when downloading a 2mb file

hi. If i try to download a file of 2 mb (mp3) using httpconnection or contentconnection, i get response code of 413-request entity too large.

so how do i download that file now? I have seen java browsers like Ucweb with which i had downloaded a zip file of 10 mb. How did it do that?

and also tell me the difference between http and socket connection.

The Status code is set by the server. I have no idea why a large download from a server would work with one client and not another. It could be up to the server.

HTTP is an acronym for Hyper Text Transmission Protocol. Its like a language used between two programs to communicate.
a socket is a software construct to allow two programs to communicate.
HTTP is like French and a socket is like a telephone.
You can also speak German (FTP) on the same telephone.

in UCweb, while downloading, i occasionally see a message "downloading by sessions" . but how does this downloading happen, when sending a simple get request denies the download by 413 error?

    in UCweb, while downloading
Sorry, I know nothing about UCweb.
    which connection method is best
Depends on the programs involved. Standalone app vs browser for example. They will all probably use Sockects. The differences will be in the protocol.
