Stream Socket:
  • A dedicated & point-to-point channel is there b/w server & client.
  • Use Transmission Control Protocol, for data transmission.
  • Reliable and Lossless.
  • Sent/received in the similar order.


Datagram Socket:

  • No dedicated & point-to-point channel is there b/w server & client.
  • Use User Datagram Protocol, for data transmission.
  • Not 100% reliable and may lose data.
  • Data sent/received order might not be the same
