How to take emulator or device screenshot?

You can take screenshots of the emulator or handsets which is very useful for debugging as shown in figure below.
When you are using real devices, this screenshot aspect of DDMS perspective is very helpful. Follow below steps, to take a screen shot of your device and see what is happening.
1. Select your device or emulator from DDMS perspective. The device you are selecting must be connected with USB data cable.
2. Select your desired screen on the device or emulator.
3. To take screenshot press “Screen Capture” button. It will open a screen capture dialog box.
4. You can save this screenshot to your local disk by clicking “Save” button. Also different features like rotate the Device Screen Capture tool is supported to display screen in landscape mode. It will just give you a snapshot and not the real view. If you click “Copy” button, it will copy image to system clipboard and you can paste it to any other editor.
