Connecting progress bar/ progress monitor to a task

Hi

I am trying to add a progress bar / progress monitor to my GUI.

But I'm not sure how to connect it to a task and make it display things like "20% completed". (e.g. to make it reflect the progress of a task)

I'd appreciate any help,
