Netbeans6.8 .jar file icon change

Hi All,

I'm using netbeans 6.8. I have selected default Java Desktop Application template from netbeans project menu.

After compile netbeans generates a .jar file with default coffee cup (Java) icon.
I want to change this icon so that the jar file could have a different icon.

Please help.

That's not an option. The jar file doesn't have an icon, it's a system-wide setting that applies to ALL jar files.

If I want to set an Icon for my application then what will I do.

It can be done in VB for .exe file.

You mean java swing desktop application's does not support any icon other than default coffee cup icon???

You can create a shortcut to the jar and set the icon of the shortcut. Or us a .BAT file to launch your program and set its icon.
