JCheckBox is used to select multiple choice

By multiple choice, I think he means a standard test with options, and you choose the correct answer. In this case, use JRadioButtons.

Thanks for the reply.
I have to make multiple selection for a single question.
Also it would be of help if you could tell me how to do it via netbeans GUI tools.how to place it at teh right location.I am new to swings

There really is no substitute for going through the net beans tutorial as it will show you how to do all this, and graphically and interactively too. Our pitiful small blips of advice will probably not help nearly as much as the tutorial. So I advise you to get cracking! Also, check out the Swing tutorials on the Oracle Swing site as it will have some NetBeans related advise too: Oracle Swing/NetBeans tutorial
