Calling url from java component

Hi,

I have a Joption pane, in which i am accepting values from user, i need to call an url by passing those values to it, and the url will do the authentication and return me true or false, i need to accept that flag and do check on it.

I have no idea how to do this, can anybody help????

What you mean calling URL? HTTP request? You should explain your question more clearly.
