    Default HD Capuring

    Hi people,
    any ideas how I could make a HD screen capturing program?


    EDIT ::

    I know that I need to use the robot class, but createScreenCapture is not in HD?

    Ohh, by the way I want to make my program to record the screen, not just take a picture.

    By 'record' I assume you mean: take a picture, wait some, take a picture, wait some, take a picture, etc.

    Yes !
    And then convert all of the images to 1 .avi file, but I don't need any help on that. I just want help on getting HD pictures.

    It depends on the pixel resolution of your screen; the Robot class creates an Image with all pixels in the passed Rectangle ...

    I've tried to make it smaller, but it is still kind of blurry.

    All I can see (or guess) is that you are creating a BufferedImage and write it to a file using the ImageIO class; in what format? is the compression of the data hurting? I didn't know the ImageIO class could write AVI file formats ...
