    Default Generating Exe files from my project...

    Hi to all !!!. My name is Agustin and I live in Argentina... My question is the following... Is there anyway to generate an exe file from my project ?. Coz there is a friend of mine that asked me If I could do some stuff for him and I would like him to open it like a normal exe file... Without needing any jdk... If you know the possibilities pls tell them to me... Although I have to say I have tried several programs like Jar2Exe or JSmooth... but they didn't work for me... anyway, if they worked pls tell me what did you do... Only that...     The easiest solution is for your friend to download the JRE -- there's absolutely no need for him to download the JDK which is required for development, not for running. Otherwise your options are to use a Jar to Exe converter like you've tried, and if they don't work, do some debugging, or contacting the creators to find out why. Best of luck!

    Thankx for answering... Supossed I download JRE, would you guide me by MSN in order to get it running... I've been trying for a long time to do this... I'll look JRE and I will download it right now...

    I don't mean to be harsh, but Java is not a toy language. Start at the beginning of the tutorial, and you will quickly get to the part about running applications.

    Do you have Jar file or what?
    For MS OS I can recommend ikvmc util which can convert jar files into exe or so files

    what went wrong with JSmooth.. it worked quite fine for me manytimes !
