Default Looking for Swing comonent for choosing a file

Looking for free Swing componen which allows to select a file and navigate by file system. Ideally it should looks like standard Windows file inspector. JTree-based versionof the component is more preferable then JTable-based.

Strange, but I've not found anything. All existing solutions are ugly.

    Thanks.

The answers will depend on what components you've tried, what L&F you've used with them, and how they are "ugly" to you.

Also, I need to discuss your signature with the other mods as it links to a site for non-public domain products which in effect is advertisement and goes against the agreement made when you joined this site. It may need to be removed.

I've tried few components from Java examples (example source code) Organized by topic. On "ugly" I mean very limited functionality. I don't need drag and drop. But even basic file displaying capabilities not implemented.

This is a good question what do you need it exactly for...

Isn't JFileChooser the component you are looking for?

The most difficult part of your task is to define
exactly when you want an event to occur.
Is it whenever any combobox is changed? or selected?
or a table column, row, or cell is selected?
or when there is a mouse click anywhere in the table?
or after a keystroke? or after a double mouse click?

For selection and changes in JComboBoxes, see this tutorial.
For selections in the table, see this other tutorial .
Or see the tutorials for mouse listener and key listener
