    Default Please give me a solution

    Hi,
    I want to execute any .exe file with in the jframe.I dont want to execute as a seperate application.(i.e if i execute notepad.exe from java swing application it should be embedded in the jframe/jpanel/jinternal frame.Can u Help me giving a solution.

    What you mean by separate application?

    Do you know about internal frames, tried anything on that?

    Separate application in the sense:-I am using a dockable frame,can i embed notepad.exe or wordpad.exe or any other .exe within the dockable frame or Internal frame.

    Okay, but getting the internal editor area of an established, compiled, working, released program is dicey at best - likely to get your efforts nowhere and do it slowly.

    Java is a programming layer designed to be an executable in it's own domain. We can put up writeable areas, do editing and so on. Placing an established exe's work in a window is for the most part an os intensive task that Java was not conceptualized as being primarily effective for.

    In fact, dockable is from another developement environment, one shipped by the makers of notepad for one thing.

    Consider JEdit pane, let us know what you think of that as an editor ......
