    Default mvn command not found

    Hello,

    I have a problem with maven in my cmd under windows.

    I added system environment variables M2_HOME="path to my maven directory" and I add ;%M2_HOME%\bin; to my system environment variable PATH. My JAVA_HOME is also set so what is wrong?
    Any ideas?

    Best Regards,
    braindump

    What is the exact error? What exactly are you trying to do? What exactly is your path? Copy all of these things here, and we'll go from there.

    You did open a new command prompt after setting the environment variables, right?

    That.

    And otherwise it is a simple typo.

    Hello,

    yes I started a new cmd.

    My System variables:

    M2_HOME="C:\Entwicklung\Maven\apache-maven-3.1.0\bin"
    JAVA_HOME="C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin"
    Path="C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\iCLS Client\;C:\Program Files\Intel\iCLS Client\;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%System Root%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsP owerShell\v1.0\;C:\Treiber\Bluetooth Software\;C:\Treiber\Bluetooth Software\syswow64;C:\Program Files\Intel\WiFi\bin\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intel\WirelessCommon\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x86;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x64;C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\DAL;C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\IPT;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\DAL;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\IPT; %M2_HOME%; %JAVA_HOME%;"

    Error in git bash:
    sh.exe": mvn: command not found

    I think that is correct! Any ideas?

    thx

    try an echo %PATH% to see what it actually is without all those variables. And are those spaces in there for real? If so - remove them.

    Also just to be sure, when you type cd %M2_HOME% do you actually successfully navigate to that folder?
