Does the IDE hi-lite or color any lines or put markers next to any lines? Move the cursor over those lines to get error messages.
If you don't understand my response, don't ignore it, ask a question.

Is there an error in the Problems tab at the bottom of the window?

What is the message shown when the cursor is over the red shape at the left of line?

Is the referenced layout id defined in the layout folder?

The images are too small to read the text.

Try using normal editting commands like Right click, Select All and Copy. I was able to get this from the Problems tab:
    Description Resource Path Location Type
The project was not built since its build path is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for android.support.v4.app.Fragment. Fix the build path then try building this project MainActivity Unknown Java Problem
The type android.support.v4.app.Fragment cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files SaveStateDemoActivity.java /MainActivity/src/com/example/mapdemo line 119 Java Problem

Sorry, setting up the IDE is very complicated and very easy to gert wrong. I have no idea what your problem is.

If there are no errors with any of the xml files, I don't know what to suggest now.
If you don't understand my response, don't ignore it, ask a question.

Put the res and src folders and the manifest file in a zip file and add it as an attachment. I'd like to test the AIDE app on my tablet and see if it can find the problem.
