Default Reusing components of other applications in android

In one of the tutorials, I have read, "The reuse of components of other applications leads to the concept of a task in Android; an application can reuse other Android components to archive a task.".
And a task is simply defined as, "A task is a collection of activities that users interact with when performing a certain job. "
My question is, How does the reuse of components of other android applications in our application lead to the concept of a task? I mean a task is simply a group of activities performed for a certain job.
My second question is what does archiving a task mean.
I am sorry if my questions are too basic, I am completely new to android.

You can launch another application's activity into the task stack of your own application, if the other application allows it. You specify what you want to open in the form of an intent, and then the OS looks through its intent filters and finds an activity that can satisfy the intent. If more than one activity qualifies, it may ask the user which one they want to open. This is how, for example, your own app can launch the standard contacts list and get a selection from it. I've never heard of archiving a task. Where did you see that term?

The word "archive" appears on that page three times: once in reference to a compressed file, once where he probably means "achieve", and the third time in the phrase "archive a task." I have no idea what he means by that. AFAIK, it's not a standard term for anything in any Android component lifecycle.

I think that one is also supposed to be "achieve".
"an application can reuse other Android components to achieve a task."
Makes much more sense in the context.

Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.

I think Tolls' comprehension is right about it.

, it's not a standard term for anything in any Android component life cycle.
Yeah you are right because I did not find it from my Google search. So it must not be some standard term.

Thank you for answering the question.
