    Default how to check the presence of sdcard in the android device?

    I have already used the

    android.os.Environment.getExternalStorageState().e quals(android.os.Environment.MEDIA_MOUNTED)[/SIZE]but this

    gives true in both cases whether the sdcard is present or not.

    Further isremoval function always returns false.

    I have go through google but could not able to find its solution.

    It amazes me that Google is basically making the same mistakes that Microsoft has made long ago - you need to lock these kind of things down in a proper specification, don't let it be up to the implementing party :s I think back to the days of Windows Mobile PDAs/smartphones and screen size and rotation nightmares... Did a rotation of 90 degrees mean that it was horizontal or vertical? You just didn't know for sure, it depended on what the default orientation of the device was :s

    And Motorola with Java ME (yes, Motorola was the spec lead, even if Sun provided the reference implementation). More than anything else, it was device fragmentation that killed Java ME.
