Default Where is Android SDK or Source for Complex UI Widgets

I apologize in advance for this question. To me it seems obvious, but I have searched the FAQ, several forums, android.com, the SDK, and last night finally the Android source, for access to complex widgets. I cannot believe this is difficult to find, so I expect I am just missing something obvious.

Background: I am building an app and I want to select a past phone number from the calllog. I spent a few days (three weeks ago) working with the Callog Provider in the SDK and succeeded in extracting the information I needed. Then I set off to create a UI to display it and discovered that the Android site (Android Developers) and all sites found via a Google search explain how to build UIs from primitive widgets (like listboxes, spinners, scrollviews, etc), but I would much rather just popup the built-in call log UI (ideally with a filtered call log of course). I am unable to find how to just popup the existing callog UI from within the phone app. I expected a way to do this from the SDK (in about three lines of code), or at worst to find and repurpose the phone app source in the Android source code from Welcome to Android | Android Open Source and call it, or at worst copy and use it (bad), but I cannot find the needed functionality there either.

Initially, I suspected I had names wrong (class or package names), but after several hours of searching, I noticed I had not found *any* source related to *any* Android UIs or apps (like phone, contacts, calendar, etc.) so I conclude, possibly hastily, that it is not in there.

Would someone please direct me to this? (SDK or Android source for accessing complex UI widgets)

    I think you're thinking of Activity(s).
That's what the Call Log is.
Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.

So I looked at the more advanced Activity stuff (I have my main one of course), and it looks like a Call Log Activity would be a very likely item for Android to have packaged with the SDK or the Android source itself. But I still cannot find a Call Log Activity. I will read more, and search more, and post here any interesting notes I find. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry, CallLog is a provider, isn't it?

From my detailed original post, I am looking to call (likely an Activity) that shows the call log UI. That is, the standard part of the Phone App that appears when you open the phone or via Menu | Call History. I want to reuse the standard Call History UI, both to reuse the code (I am lazy and do not want to rewrite it), but mostly because then my app looks like the standard UI and we get a consistent look and feel.
