Question Where should I go to start game development.

Hello, I have two basic questions. What should I know first before I even attempt game development, and where should I learn?

It depends on what type of game you are talking about. Hangman? Tic-tac-toe? Graphics intensive? Multi-user? You probably shouldn't worry about game development until you have a better understanding of Java. I believe you did post the following thread. For each loop confusing. What I explained is basic stuff in Java and relatively simple compared to what you would need to develop a game. Understanding for/each loops, interfaces, threads and such as well as collections and generics comes to mind. And especially how to handle events. It will make your eventual game development much more enjoyable.
