Default Java Streaming Project getting slow after Hosting

    Hi!

I Need your guide my seniors,

I am working on a Java Streaming Networking ( Client Serve ) project , among remote client can:

3 ) Share Screen live streaming,
4 ) Access the remote system.

All are working well faster & live on networking. But if i host on the Hosting server the all process are working but in deadly slow streaming is not live..,

Notes : i am in INDIA and i host on my client's USA Server..,

    I don't know the reason,

    Can anyone guide me please..,

Without more details it is hard to say anything. If I had to guess then my guess would be the network speed itself.
    - did you check the time a single packet needs ("Ping time")
    - did you check the bandwidth you can get to the server ("download speed")

Did you optimize your used network protocol? Maybe you can tell us details about that?

But of course: it can have other reasons e.g. server is overloaded or things like that. On what kind of server do you run? Cheap virtual systems always miss ressources. At least that is my experience.

Thank You for your response Mr.Kneitzel!

Yes! the ping & downloading speed also taking too much of time

Actually someone is say to me " we need special server for hosting the streaming projects, it is called MEDIA SERVER, like Skype & Teamviewer also running on the media server only " is this true?..,

But How can i catch those details Mr.Kneitzel?..,

    Guide me..,

    Thank You..,

    Hi,

In my eyes there are no special media servers. You need a server:
    - that has enough performance for your application (so it should be able to handle the cpu requirements, have enough ram and the IO capabilities should be high enough. But all these will be important when you get multiple users on your server...)
    - your server needs a good and fast connection to big communication nodes. I don't know your internet topology in india. In germany I would check that the provider has good connections to the DE-CIX and to the german telekom.

So try to keep the server as near to your users as possible. Hosting in the US might be wrong. Is there no hosting in india with good connections to the provider in india? Or where are your users?

Maybe your provider has a product called Media Server. Maybe these servers have a better connection speed (e.g. through qos on full lines) but I would test that first. I would switch the provider because that means that their lines are either full or their cheap offers are made "bad" so people buy other stuff. A normal dedicated server should do the job (and if the system is the bottleneck, you might want to get a bigger one) so my underatandig is, that the core network is the problem.

You really want to be testing the speed in relation to your client, not in relation to your location.
Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.
