    Default packet finder

    i need a java library function that searches the stream of tcp packets coming to my computer from a particular ip address, so i can perform regular expressions on the contents of those packets.

    That's too low level for Java, it is very operating system specific what you want to do and Java does not do operating system specific things. If you want to do this it will involve native code and JNI/JNA.

    i think what i need is jpcap, it involves winpcap which is the native code u speak of i believe
