    Default Look and feel

    Hello!I have an annoying problem with my aplication...so i need your help.
    Well, the problem is that i can not add the look and feel jar in my project.
    This is what i do:
    right click to the project and navigate to Build a Path
    Then click to the libraries and add the external jar files.The jars files must now be
    at a referenced library but it not there...
    here is what i take

    What does your build path screen look like? Have you tried running it and seeing what happens? Do you get any compiler errors?

    Here is the code where i call the liquid look and feel
    Java Code:
    public void setDesign(){
    		 try {
    				javax.swing.UIManager.setLookAndFeel("com.birosoft.liquid.LiquidLookAndFeel");

    			    // if you want decorations for frames and dialogs you can put this two lines
    			    //
    				// JFrame.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true);	// to decorate frames
    				// JDialog.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true);	// to decorate dialogs
    			    //
    			    // or put this one line
    			    //
    				// com.birosoft.liquid.LiquidLookAndFeel.setLiquidDecorations(true);
    				//
    				// or if you want to use Apple's Panther window decoration
    				//
    				// com.birosoft.liquid.LiquidLookAndFeel.setLiquidDecorations(true, "panther");

    		  } catch (Exception e) {

    			System.out.println("ERROR: look and feel");
    			System.exit(0);
    		  }
    	}
    When i run this the compiler catch the exception.

    I m sure that the problem is on the (look and feel) jar file.To add the jar on the build path
    i follow these intsructions 7 Ways to Add JARs to Project Build Paths in Eclipse (Java)
    You can see that when you make the "build path" the jars reappear in Referenced Libraries, but for me is not there(look the previous image).

    What error are you catching? Use e.printStackTrace() instead of masking the cause of the problem.

    The error is :
    Java Code:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.birosoft.liquid.LiquidLookAndFeel
    This means that the liquid jar file is not in the library ?!

    Or the class you name is not in that jar. You can see that in Eclipse, it allows you to unfold the jar and see what packages and classes are in it.

    Finally i make it ... and i am not sure how it works :P
    Well after i build the path with the jar file , simple i copy and paste the "liquid.jar" on the src/Interface
    (in this class i m calling the UIManager).I dont think that this is the normal way to do it but it works.
    Thanks guys!!!

    That definitely doesn't sound right. I predict many headaches in your future if you don't figure out what's going on with your classpath.
