Product update service for Java application.
Hi all,
I have a complete product developed using Java. Now I try to integrate a most important feature.
Say I have a product update(I mean a new version). I want to notify it for the users. So is there any Java API I can use for this?
Comments appreciate,
Eranga

Hi Eranga,
I did not use this framework but it may help you to do what you want here:

Hmm, seems that page have some interesting details. Better to go through carefully.
Didn't you do such a workout in your application, Java Tip. This is the first time such a thing comes into my mind.
Thanks Java Tip:)

I am aware that both netbeans and eclipse have such features. I am developing a robotics IDE in my free times. For now, i am concentrating on the core of the system and making it as generic and simple as possible, In the future, i will either use netbeans/eclipse platform or continue with custom swing application way. No matter what i choose, i am sure i will make it a plugin based application. It is useful.Didn't you do such a workout in your application, Java Tip.
