Default Opinions on best approach for objects

    Hi Guys

    First post... yay!

I have a 3rd party API that returns objects according to its own model. I also have my own model to encapsulate the 3rd party objects from the rest of the app... what do people normally do to convert these objects into their own domain?

I was thinking an adapter pattern, wrapping the 3rd party object.

    Cheers in advance!

I also have a third party API and have a similar question. I am approaching it with domain objects, DAOs, and service classes. The DAO is performing the conversion to the complex data types for the third party API, which I am rethinking now.
