    Default Scripts

I'm developing a plugin for a program that is mostly java based, and I'd like to implement a scripting language for this program, possibly using javascript or some other simple scripting language. My question is... are there any libraries out there to like... evaluate the script and run it in java? Not sure if I'm explaining this right. Essentially I want to be able to run the script from Java, then allow the script to call Java functions that already exist in this program. How would I go about doing this? Or would it be easier to have them actually write pieces of a java class then use a class loader to load it in?

You already have a JavaScript interpreter; it comes bundled with your JDK 1.6 (and higher) distribution.

    kind regards,
