    Default Get sessionid from HTTP request

    All my HTTP requests goes to a proxy application that I have created.
    The request contains various headers including Cookie as one of the header.

    I want to read session id from value of this header,but the problem is that I cannot search the hardcoded string "JSESSIONID" because different web servers use different names to store session ID.

    Can I assume that the first name-value pair of Cookie header is always sessionid?

    Is this a regular Java server?
    As in, servlets etc?
    If so then the HttpSession has the id.
    Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.
